KoBaGi stands for Crazy Body Community. Formed in 2010 by French composer and gamelan specialist Grégoire Gensse and fifteen Balinese artists, under the direction of I Wayan Sutapa, KoBaGi is a body-based musical journey where borders, limits, bodies and sounds multiply, mix and merge into a wide vibrant orchestra, evoking the Indonesian East-Timur and West-Barat. KoBaGi is a unique orchestra which brings together traditional vocals and bamboo instruments from Bali, as well as body-based percussion technique.
