San Francisco School Orff Ensemble represent the internationally acclaimed Orff program at The San Francisco School. Immersed in a musical culture that includes body percussion, speech, song, movement, dance, drama and the Orff instrument ensemble, these children habitually improvise, compose, choreograph and perform elemental music and dance. This group met after school to create work for this project, led and inspired by Doug Goodkin, James Harding and Sophia Ibor-Lopez. James Harding and the students will also be leading a participatory workshop of hand games from around the world before the Family Matinee Sunday November 10 at the Freight and Salvage.
