Beden perküsyonunda bir referans grup olan Barbatuques, bedeni bir müzik aleti olarak kullanarak organik müzik yapıyor. İnsan bedenin çıkardığı seslerin araştırılması ve ses efektleriyle birlikte melodiler ve farklı ritimler yaratılıyor: el çırpma, çatlamalar, vuruşlar, eller ve ayaklar, hepsi bir arada ahenk içinde, sonuç muhteşem! Grubun sahnedeki özel manzarasına ek olarak, bulaşıcı ve insanı içine alan performansları ritim, ses ve hareketleri kuvvetli bir şekilde birleştirerek özgün bir deneyim yaratıyor. Repertuarlarında özgün besteler, uyarlamalar, doğaçlamalar ve seyirciyle etkileşimler var. Barbatuques’un sanatsal ve pedagoji merkezi, 1996’da müzisyen Fernando Barba tarafından kuruldu ve 15 bütünleyici sanatçıdan oluşuyor: André Hosoi, Bruno Buarque, Marcelo Pretto, André Venegas, Dani Zulu, Charles Raszl, Flávia Maia, Giba Alves, João Simão, Lu Horta, Heloiza Ribeiro, Mairah Rocha, Maurício Maas and Renato Epstein. The Barbatuques, a reference group in Body percussion, produces organic music using the body as a musical instrument. Melodies and different rhythms are created using voice effects and exploration of sounds produced by the human body: hand clapping, cracks, beats, hands and feet, all in tune. The result is amazing. Involving and contagious, the group’s presentations provide a unique experience by this competent combination of rhythms, sounds and movements, besides the group’s scenic presence. The repertoire includes its own compositions, adaptations, improvisations and interactions with the audience. Barbatuques’s artistic and pedagogical center was founded in 1996 by the musician Fernando Barba and is composed of 15 integrants: André Hosoi, Bruno Buarque, Marcelo Pretto, André Venegas, Dani Zulu, Charles Raszl, Flávia Maia, Giba Alves, João Simão, Lu Horta, Heloiza Ribeiro, Mairah Rocha, Maurício Maas and Renato Epstein. Since then, they have been developing research on the theme and finding in them enough sound to convert the body into in a real symphony orchestra.

Musician, composer, art pedagogue, developing the corporal percussion, looking for creative performance, sounds and musical impulses that cross borders of our common sense, to rescue our instinctive musicality. That work have been presented in a partnership with the group Barbatuques in a research and diffusion nucleus, in USA, Europe and Brazil. Offering and presenting concerts, classes and workshops, shows in Argentina, Venezuela, Uruguay, EUA and Germany, teacher and founder of Organic Performatic Orchestra belonging to the Free University of Music “Tom Jobim” in São Paulo, Brazil , playing at garbage, and recycled material, percussion and partner of the musician Fernando Barboza, “Barbatuques” leader, highlighting the participation in the 3rd IBMF-2010 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with the Orchestra of the Body and Barbatuques. He also follows a wide range of cultural projects among performances, workshops and courses for those who are interested in living their own musicality, spontaneous, instinctive.
